Legacy Guard

For estate planning attorneys

Every client, back in front of you once a year.

Legacy Guard is the annual review your clients actually finish, under your firm's name. It flags what changed, keeps the plan from going stale, and gives families a safe place for the stories your firm should never have to hold.

Free for firms. No revenue share, no referral fee, no payout. Money only ever moves from a client or a firm to Legacy Guard.

Why firms use it

The review that gets done, and the call list it writes

Clients come back every year

The review date is set once. Legacy Guard sends the invitation, the pre-notice, the reminder, the day-of note, and two follow-ups, and stops when the review is done. You do not chase anyone.

Flags tell you what changed

A move, a birth, a death, a sold business, a trustee who can no longer serve, a funding step never finished. Each lands on your dashboard with a one line summary and a digest email.

Fewer stale plans

Plan Health gives every household a number and the two moves that would raise it. The At risk list shows a review more than 30 days overdue or a score under 50, with a one click reminder.

A reason to call

Every flag carries Propose meeting. Every client has Request a meeting on their home screen. The conversation list writes itself.

Watch

The annual review, from the client's screen to your inbox

Six segments in about 25 minutes. The client answers; a flag lands with your firm with a plain summary of what to look at. A move to another state carries the new state's rules.

Households

Add one at a time or import a CSV with a preview that flags every bad row. Married or single, each person's email, the state, the review month, and the fee level.

Reviews and lead-up emails

Pick the household, set the date, tick the objectives the plan was built for, choose whether to include the funding checkup. The six step email sequence runs itself.

Answers side by side

Both spouses' answers in two columns with differences highlighted. Flags, funding tasks, assistant questions, the reschedule history, and dated review records.

Flags and tasks

Open and handled, with Propose meeting and Mark handled. Funding, assistant, legacy, aftercare, and appointment tasks.

Meeting requests

A reason and preferred times from the client, marked scheduled by your staff.

Quiet check-ins

Households that have gone quiet far longer than their own normal, with the tier and last activity. Nothing is ever released from here.

Law updates by state

Write and release your own pieces. Legacy Guard's master library covers every state and each state on its own; your clients see the ones for their state.

Staff roles

Attorney, admin, and paralegal. Paralegals read every household and handle flags but cannot report a passing, buy seats, or change settings.

Your branding

Your name, logo, and colors on every client screen and every email, with a small Powered by Legacy Guard line.

Schedule

A 12 month grid of review counts. Move households between months with a busiest month warning.

Exports

A zip of documents, the plan visual, review records, events, and flags for your own files. Never a story.

Referrals

Clients send a parent, child, or friend. You see who was sent, who was contacted, and who became a client.

The business model

Free for firms. Complete, your way.

Every household you add is on Basic at no charge: the review, meeting requests, reminders, your law updates, Plan Health, check-ins, milestones, people, referrals, and export. Complete adds the whole Stories side and the rest of the Plan side.

  • Let clients pay. $149 a year or $14.99 a month, by card, with a 30 day trial.
  • Prepay Complete seats. Blocks sized to your book of clients. One seat covers one household for one year. Assign and release from the household page.
  • Fold it into your fee. Many firms include Complete in their own engagement so the client never sees a Legacy Guard charge.

Complete seats for firms

Seats come in blocks sized to your practice, priced by the size of your own purchase, never by what any client pays. Firm pricing is shared in your demo.

A firm releasing its own seat is not a lapse for the client.

Questions attorneys ask

Straight answers

All questions
What does Legacy Guard cost a law firm?

Nothing. Firms pay nothing to join and every household they add is on the free Basic plan. A firm can prepay the Complete plan for clients in blocks of 10, 25, or 50 seats, or let clients pay for Complete themselves.

What does the firm see?

The whole Plan side of each household: the review answers side by side, flags, tasks, meeting requests, documents, the people in the plan, funding, and Plan Health. The firm never sees a client's stories, letters, recipients, or the guide, not even a count.

How does the annual review reach clients?

The firm sets the review date, usually one year from signing. Legacy Guard sends the invitation, a pre-notice 30 days before, a reminder 7 days before, a note on the day, and two follow-ups. Each step goes once, and the sequence stops when the review is complete.

What happens when a client flags something?

The flag lands on the firm's dashboard and in a digest email with the household, the answer, and a one line summary. Each flag has Propose meeting and Mark handled. A move to another state carries a plain summary of the new state's rules.

Does the firm approve the release of stories after a death?

No, and that protects the firm. The firm can report a passing and attest to it. Two different people at Legacy Guard verify it through a checklist, a waiting period passes, and only then is anything released. The firm is never the one who decides.

Can we brand it as our own?

Yes. Clients sign in under your firm's name, logo, and colors, with a small Powered by Legacy Guard line. Every email carries your firm's name.

How many staff can sign in?

Each firm has a number of staff logins set when the firm joins. Staff have one of three roles: attorney, admin, or paralegal. Paralegals read every household and handle flags but cannot report a passing, buy seats, or change settings.

What does a firm need to get started?

A list of households with a name, each person's email, the state, and the review month. Add them one at a time or import a CSV. Set your firm's state so the right law updates reach your clients.
